Terms & Conditions

Commitment

Hypnotherapy requires the commitment and motivation to change for the client to get the best results. As the client, when you agree to undertake a course of treatment you also agree to engage with the process and listen to the audio recordings which will be provided for you. These are designed to help you gain the most benefit and not doing these is likely to reduce the effectiveness of your results.

Therapy Session

Each standard session lasts two to three hours. The issue can be overcome in one session, for more deep-rooted problems it can take up to three sessions. Estimates of the number of sessions required will be given at the enquiry stage or during the first consultation, are given on the basis of the information presented at that time. Estimates are only rough guidelines and are subject to change.

Fees

Fees are provided at the end of the initial consultation. Fees are payable before each session by cash, credit or debit card. You may pay in advance if you wish by bank transfer.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours notice via telephone, text or email is required for any appointment changes including cancellation and non-attendance. Any changes made within the 24-hour notice period will be charged at the full session rate.

Arriving Late

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. If your session needs to be curtailed due to your late arrival, then the session fee remains payable in full.

Completion of Medical Questionnaire

Prior to the session the client will be required to complete a medical questionnaire by email. This will include personal details, and any medical and lifestyle issues. By completing the medical questionnaire, you agree to submit only true and accurate information and will not omit any information that might be significant.

Confidentiality

The information provided will be treated in the strictest confidence with the following exceptions:

  • Self-Harm: contact may be made with your GP if it appears that you are suicidal or intend to carry out serious self-harm.

  • Abuse or Injury to a Minor: it is a legal requirement to report any abuse towards a minor to the appropriate authorities should any such information be divulged to the therapist.

  • Unless you instruct Pippa Hancock Hypnotherapy in writing to share information with your GP or any other third party.

Standards of Behaviour

It is unethical for a therapist to guarantee a cure. The control of thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours always reside within the client. No patient is “made” to do anything against their will using hypnosis or therapy. Pippa Hancock Hypnotherapy therefore undertakes to treat you with respect and not to abuse client trust. In return, you undertake not to harm yourself, or any other person, or any property. You agree not to come to sessions under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, except those medications prescribed by your doctor. If you attend the session under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs or demonstrate violent/abusive behaviour, Pippa Hancock Hypnotherapy reserves the right to cancel the session and refuse any further therapy.
